Final Entry!!!!

I just love how this turned out,,,,,,I found this sweet image on a CD I bought, and thought she looked so innocent there was only ONE sentiment that could possibly go with her,,,,,I BELIEVE by JustRite!

I cut two sizzix snowflakes out of Graphic 45 Christmas Past paper and pop dotted one on top of the other,,,,,,I inked the edges and then cut the sweet little girl with my circle nesties,,,,,,I barely touched the edges of the circle with embossing ink, then embossed gold embossing powder along the edge of the image. I embossed the I BELIEVE stamp from JustRite again with the gold embossing powder (these stamps are really impressing me here!) and cut it out with the smallest of my long classic rectangles from spellbinders. Some gold pearls and bling a small diecut and a gold ribbon, and she's ready for my oldest daughter's Christmas gift!!!!!!

Thanks again for looking,,,,,I had a ton of fun, and I'd like to thank JustRite for an amazing time! There are so many gorgeous tags and cards over there I don't know HOW they are going to choose a winner! (for their sakes, I hope it's via random.com or something LOL) I got a head start on my holiday tags and had fun to boot!!!!!

the prize is amazing, so if you are up for a challenge with some incredibly talented ladies over there, you have a few more days to get out your JustRite stamps and whip up a shaped tag or a card!!!!!

Here's the link for their site!!!!! I tell you what, you deserve a prize if you've read ALL of these blog posts LOL,,,,so go give it a whirl!

5th entry!!!!!

This is one of those tags you spend a ton of time on,,,,,,,and love every minute of it!!!!!! I included a shot of the back so you can see that it IS not a square LOL,,,,it kind of looked square after I added a million things to it LOL,,,,,guess I over did,,,,,,but I do love how this turned out!

This is a shaker tag,,,,,there are 3 sections within this tag, separated by transparency sheets,,,,,the bottom layer is the background paper by K and Company,,,,,,the middle section is the foreground pic of the sweet little girl decorating her tree,,,,and the foremost section contains glitter for the snow! It kind of looks like it's snowing all around her because some of the glitter sticks to the transparency. I cut this out of black board (thicker than cs but not as thick as chipboard) in the Labels 1 top note shape, embossed the back, then built up the frames several thicknesses and constructed the sections,,,,,,,the top section, I covered with a frame in this adorable polka dot paper from K and Company,,,,,,,tons of fussy cutting and diecuts to construct a little "santa scene" around her with toys and candies, a tree and gifts :)

I painted the back and sides with gold leaf paint,,,,and then embossed the JustRite stamp with gold embossing powder. AGAIN, it performed wonderfully! and of course, I couldn't resist a few gems :)

Thanks for looking!!!!!!

This tag was just too simple :) My go-to oval nesties, an image I printed from a CD I bought,,an old music sheet from a hymnal,,,a few diecuts, some buttons, some lace,,,and that amazing stamp from JustRite!!!!!

thanks for looking!!!!!

Entry 3!!!!!!!

This tag was unbelievably easy! I used my round nesties to cut out the patterned paper, the plain burgundy card stock and the image,,,,,I believe the image was one that was included in last year's K and company Christmas paper,,,,,I thought it was darling, so I framed it here,,,,,,,the metal hanger on top of the ball is just a plain piece of cardstock that has been embossed with gold embossing powder,,,,,,gorgeous,,,,,and take a look at how FABULOUSLY that JustRite stamp embossed,,,,,IN GOLD!!! some images do not emboss well in Gold, but that's obviously not a problem here!!!! gems are dollar bin at M's and I tied a simple bow!

Entry 2!!

I just love love LOVE this sentiment from JustRite,,,I mean WHO doesn't smile when they remember the Christmases of their childhood??? I love this stamp because without it, the tag is not complete,,,,,,but with it, it says everything I want the tag to say,,,,,which is an amazing thing, and one of the reasons I LOVE JustRite,,,,,they say so much with a stamp,,,,,,,,yet it doesn't TAKE OVER (unless you want it to!),,,,,,

I cut this darling mitten on my cricut from the Joys of The Seasons cartridge,,,,,some of my FAV K and co paper, my nesty ovals, some pearls and a few bling,,,,,,,and a few diecuts,,,,some easy peasy ribbon treatment,,,a stick pin,,,,,,,and last but not least, some faux stitching and I just LOVE the tag!

I'm so excited!!!!!

One of my favorite stamp companies (JustRite) is having a challenge this week that is SO right up my alley!!!!

Challenge number 056 is to make a shaped Christmas card or tag,,,,,any shape EXCEPT a square or a rectangle!!! I absolutely ADORE Christmas tags!!!! they are fun to make, and rarely get tossed away,,,,In fact, I send them AS christmas cards often,,,,,,,,I simply sign the back FROM THE YOUNGS with the year on it,,,,,,I usually see the tag hanging from their christmas tree :)

And JustRite has some of the most GORGEOUS and elegant fonts for their sentiment stamps that I have ever seen! My one hang up???? I own just ONE set of their Christmas stamps,,,,and it's sentiments,,,,,not images,,,,,sigh. Well, I have another few sets on order,,,,,,but they won't make it on time,,,,,,,

soooooo,,,,,,there's nothing to do but do my best and use what I have :)

I am entering SIX tags (faint,,,,,I know, but I was having so much fun I couldn't stop!!) I am going to give each tag it's own blog entry so that I can link each tag directly to the JustRite challenge individually :) so,,,,,,without further ado,,,,,,,,

my first tag,,,,,,

I just LOVE pink for Christmas colors,,,,I found this image on the Graphics Fairy Website (see sidebar for their button) and cut it out using Labels 11,,,,,,,some fussy cutting, diecuts, a few pearls and gems and some feathers to simulate snow (this little beauty has snowballs in her hands, I couldn't resist the feathers!) and VOILA!!!!!! a darling tag that my youngest has already claimed as HERS LOL.

Hope you enjoyed and thanks so much for looking!!!!

Old Is New,,,,,,,,

It's no secret that I LOVE my Big Shot. I have used that thing almost non-stop since I bought it. One of the things I love to do with my Big Shot,,,,,,is make diecuts,I find that they make a card super simple and cute to boot. And one of my fav places to FIND diecuts is on old cards. Ones I have received,,or cheap dollar store cards that come 30 or 40 to a box. So today I have 2 cards to share. Both made with old cards turned into diecuts with the help of my big shot and my nestabilities.

The giraffe card is super simple. Just a giraffe cut out from an old card,,,,forgotten about paper and a few bright buttons. It's for my brand new nephew who is coming to visit with his mom next month. Inside it says CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU!

The other is for his mother, my baby sister. Again, super simple,,,,,,die cut from an old card, matted on paper with my long rectangles nesties,,,,,,,a ribbon, a stick pin and an MS butterfly punch. What could be simpler???? AND recycling is good for the earth!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for looking!!!

Spellbinders Pendants

Thank you all for all your payers, but my dear friend, Betty, went to Heaven this past Saturday night. I will miss her more than she would ever know. I have many many good memories, and I cherish them.

I wanted to apologize for taking so long to come back and post,,,I was grieving, and really didn't feel much like talking.

But I am happy to be back with another card to share. This card is for Betty's daughter (whom I hope to meet soon). I just love how elegant the spellbinders pendant centers look here. I love the pendants, even if they ARE a pain to get out of the die :) Here, I've used only the centers, which are simple to get out of the die. Paper is DCWV, dark brown flourishes. So pretty! I couldn't help using a string of pearls to add to the elegance :) I also cut up a bling flourish and strung the parts across the card. A tiny prima nd some sticky pearls and bling add the finishing touches. Easy peasy!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for looking!!!

Thank you all,,,,

who read about Betty and offered prayers, both on here and sb.com. God has decided otherwise. She has no brain activity at all, and as soon as her brother arrives from Canada, he will make the decision to suspend herculean efforts to save his sister, "pull the plug" as it were,,,,

I believe he wants one more opinion several days after the first tests, and if the answer is still the same, my understanding is that he will let her go home to God.

Please pray that I can get there to see her one last time,,,,,,,,,and that her brother is given the strength to get through this.

Thank you again.

Easy Peasy Quick and Easy

I just love quick and easy cards,,,,,especially when you need a card quickly for a birthday party in less than an hour :) and you STILL have to shower and wash your hair!

One of the ways that I love to make a card extra special and really quick is to use diecuts,,,,either ones I cut myself,,,,,or ones you buy in a pack. I am showing you both kinds today,,,,,,,

The cake card was made using the DCWV Sweet stack, and had a paper with an adorable cake,,,,,I simply used my nesties classic ovals to cut it out, pop dotted it on the background paper and surrounded it with a string of pearls,,,,,,,a quick bow and FINIS.

The other two cards have die cuts by K and company, spring blossom collection,,,,,so pretty, so sparkly, and they really make a card,,,,,You don't have to add much more to make the card really gorgeous. I made a window, put the diecut on the inside of the card and made a few easy flowers, courtesy of my Spellbinders Create a Rose dies, added pearls and a bow,,,,,,,,and I'm done!!!!

so easy, and really pretty!!! and for less than 4 bucks for about 40 or 50 of the diecuts, pretty cheap too! Or I can cut them out of paper or on my cricut! What could be easier?

thanks for looking,,,,hope you enjoyed!
