It's Wednesday,,,,,,and on Friday, the mother of my husband's co-worker will become an American Citizen. Yesterday, I showed you a card I made to go along with her gift,,,,,,a hand made patriotic themed mini book,,,,,
And today, I'd lie to share the mini I made for Gisella,,,,,I'll list all products at the end, because otherwise, this post will take forever to read LOL.
Here is the cover,,,,,,,I cut lightweight chipboard with spellbinders, and cut the papers the same, slicing off the left hand side for ease of binding,,,,,,in this way, it was a simple thing to just cut all the pages quickly,,,,,it saved a TON of time!
and a close up of the bling,,,,,,
pages one and two,,,,,,
the right hand side opens up for 3 photo spots,,,,,and the left side is for a larger photo.
pages 3 and 4,,,,,,,a pocket page on the left,,,,,,,,,and the right has a small tag in it and it opens up to reveal 16 photo spots,,,,,
like this,,,,,,,
pages five and six,,,,,,,,,left hand side is for a larger photo,,and right hand side pocket holds a pull out for eight photo spots,,,,,,sorry, forgot to photograph the pull out, but they are tag sized.
pages seven and eight,,,,,
photo on the left and pocket on the right,,,,,,,,the right side says US CITIZEN.
and here's the tags,,,,,where Gisella can write all about her journey to become a new US Citizen,,,,,

Well, Hello There,,,,,,
I'm Holly,,,,,,,it's nice to meet your aquaintance LOL. I have been SO BUSY the past several weeks, camping, planning camping, getting ready for my mom to come, going to Disney World and working on DT work, I have hardly had A MINUTE to make a card to post here that ISN'T a DT card!
Well, today is the day! LOL. Actually, I have started SEVERAL cards that I intend to finish by tomorrow,,,,,,,some new Sugar Nellie stamps that are Oooooo la la,,,,,
and some FANTASTIC Sassy Cheryl's digi stamps,,,,,,,,I may actually DO the Sassy Cheryl's challenge this week! Yep, FAINT!
But today, I have a shabby chic card that has been in my head for WEEKS,,,,,,,but it's my new Prima Meadow Lark paper that actually got it ONTO a card base :)
so without further ado,,,,,,,,,,,,Here's my card!
I just LOVE this image,,,,,,,,,,I think I got it at Free Vintage Digi Stamps, button on my side bar. I cut it out with squares large and layered it over the Meadow lark paper and a paper doily,,,,,,,I created a banner out of coordinating paper and strung it on a length of string pearls,,,,some pearls, a length of striped ribbon, a sheer bow and a handmade flower (poinsettia die) and she's done!
Here's a close up of the flower,,,,,,,,,,,this flower was super easy,,,,,,,several layers of poinsettias some inking of the edges, and a bit of shaping, and it's finished,,,,,,,
And a final close up of the easy peasy banner I created,,,,,,,,,,,
So easy, yet so fresh and pretty! My mother-in-law should love it!
Thanks for looking, and I hope you enjoyed the card! Your comments mean the world to me!
Tomorrow is my Sugar Creek Hollow post, and I also hope to have some more cards up using some new digi stamps from Sugar Nellie and Sassy Cheryl!
Have a fantastic holiday weekend,,,,,,,,,,,I wish you good weather and better times with friends and family!

Vintage Rose!
Good Afternoon!!!! I hope everyone is enjoying their Friday and has great plans for the weekend! DH and I are going to Disney World on Saturday for a few hours after he finishes working,,,,,,,,
I'm looking forward to that! I haven't forgotten about posting some Disney pics,,,,,I just forget every time I pull out the card reader and yank pics into my computer LOL. Making a note to do that now.
So today I have a card that features this GORGEOUS vintage rose digi stamp,,,,Pamela over at Free Vintage Digi Stamps posted it the other day, and I HAD to use it!!!! It's really stunning,,and Pamela is SO generous with her lovely images,,, I just love that it's ready for copics or watercolors!!!!
This card is super simple,,,,,,it's 5.5x5.5 (one of my favorite sizes),,,I colored the image with copics,,,the base is pink,,,,,I layered brown over that 1/4 inch smaller,,,and then this gorgeous light pink French newsprint on the top, and this gorgeous, really shabby chic looking pink stripes on the lower half. My focal point from the bottom up is Fleur de lis pendants, lacey ovals and ovals large,,,,,,,a bit of lace that has these beautiful roses woven into the decoration, a few gems, a spiral rose on a bow and a stick pin, and it's all ready for my mother's friend, who's quite ill in the hospital,,,,,,I used to babysit her children when I was a teenager,,,,,They're adults now, and I'm showing my age LOL.
so today,,,,I'm spreading the love (see button on my side bar for information on that movement).
Here's a close up of this stunning image!
You should run right over to Free Vintage Digi Stamps right away, because Pamela has the most gorgeous images,,,,,,,Thank you so much for all of them, Pamela!!!!
Thanks for looking, and have a wonderful weekend!!!!

Vintage School Girl!

Good afternoon! I hope everyone else has gotten more accomplished today than I have. I have been LAZY! Husband is working, and I have done nothing but lounge in bed and take pics for my blog LOL.
Whatever you're doing today, I do hope you have a bit of time to relax in this crazy last week before the holidays!
It's time again for the new Sugar Creek Hollow challenge! YAY! the theme this week is THANK YOU. They want to see our thank you cards, and you can find that challenge HERE!
Well, it just so happens, I have a lovely reason for a thank you card. My MIL sent us all some money for the holidays,,,,,,how sweet! I think I am going to spend mine on several sets of nesties and dies!
So, onto the card I'm sending my MIL. This is an adorable image from a new site I happened to run across yesterday,,,,awesome site! You can find the button on my side bar (Pointing finger), but the name of it is freevintagedigistamps.com. FANTASTIC SITE! I took this darling school girl and cropped out the ABC that was above her,,,,,I pulled her into Picnik and added a THANK YOU to the bottom and printed her in sepia. I then colored her with copics. I wasn't too worried about blending, because I wanted the old 50's children's book illustration look. Plus, I was going to be toning all the colors down by tapping sepia ink onto the colored image with a sponge, so blending wouldn't show as well anyhow. I layered on the MME paper (Market Street) using the sketch over at the MME blog here! A bit of lace, some stickles, pearls, hand died seam binding in this GORGEOUS peachy pink, a bit of border punching, a stick pin and TONS of inking, and she's done! Isn't she adorable????
Do go have a look at the two challenges here,,,,,the Sugar Creek Hollow and the MME challenge. But HURRY on the MME, it's got less than a day left!
Thanks for looking, and I hope you enjoyed! I hope you have a lovely last day of the weekend!
