Good Evening!!!!
They say death and taxes are the only things you can count on in life,,,,,,,I disagree. If you're very lucky,,,,,you have friends.
Recently a couple of friends did some very nice things for me,,,,,,,,,,and so of course, thank you cards are called for.
Can I tell you I am totally in love with my new Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page set? L-O-V-E!
On this one, I punched a 6 3/4 X 5 inch panel to use as my first layer,,,,,,,
I layered that with Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles that I had embossed with a My Favorite Things die. Some framing and layering, some pearls and handmade flowers, a bow, and she's done!
Here's a close up! The Stamp is CTMH.
For this second thank you card, I fell in love with this stamp on EBAY, and my wonderful husband bought it for me,,,,,,,,,,without telling me :) He's so sweet sometimes :)
I colored the image with copics, of course,,,and created a frame around a spellbinders M-bossabilities,,,,,,,a MFT Die-namics flourish, more hand made flowers and some bling,,,,,,a tim holtz button adorns another sweet pink bow! I even used the corner punch to punch around a circle! Easy peasy!
Here's a close up of that gorgeous stamp!
Card Recipe:
Cardstock: GA Pacific (white), Coordinations (pink)
Stamps: CTMH Cricute Artiste Collection Kudos, Rubber Stampede
Ink: Momento Tuxedo black for image, Copic Markers, Versafine Onyx black, Momento Angel Pink for highlighting embossing
Dies and Punches: MS Eyelet Lace punch around the page set, Spellbinders circles Large, Ovals Large, MFT Die-namics Vintage Flourish, MS winter branch punch, MFT Die-namics Mini Royal Rose, MFT Die-namics Sentimental Flourish
Embossing Folder: Spellbinders Regal
Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon, January ribbon club collection.
Pearls and bling: Recollections
Buttons: Tim Holtz and Bazzill
That's all for today! I hope you liked the cards, and I hope the recipients love them as well!

Party Time Tuesdays!!!!!
Good Tuesday Morning!!!!!! It's time for Party Time Tuesdays weekly challenge!!! I know you love it,,,,,,and this is our monthly ANYTHING GOES challenge!!!! So anything your heart desires! Just please remember that during our Anything Goes Challenge, we have SO many entries, it's simply impossible for us to comment! We love to see your entries, but to be fair to all, we simply don't comment during this challenge! But know we are looking!!!!
Since it was Anything Goes, I decided to go a bit differently than normal! I made these really darling candy bags for my grand children and youngest daughter (who thought they were so cute she had to have one!)
I colored these darling scare crows with copics, and fussy cut them out, inking the edges of the moon for effect.I used a 5.5 x11 inch piece of kraft card stock and simply scored at 4.5 and 6x5 folding up both ends,,,,,,,the food grade polystyrene bags full of candy just slip down inside and I stapled the top together (with the bag in there) to hold the bag in,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Fancy pants paper on the front, and then I cut some more fancy pants paper out of my Grand labels 23 nesties to fold over the top,,,,,,,,,I decorated with nested pumpkins and fancy pants stickers,,,,,,,,,and she's done!
Here's a close up of the side, where you can see the candies,,,,,,
Click on any of the pictures to see a larger version,,,,,,,,
Project Recipe:
Papers: Fancy Pants and Recollections Kraft paper
Stamps: the Stamping Boutique
Dies: Nested Pumpkins and Grand Labels 23
inks: copics and Ranger Archival Black
Stickers: Fancy Pants

Happy birthday, Grandson!!!!!
Good afternoon!!!! In a few days, one of my grand sons will be eleven. So, of course, off I went to make a birthday card,,,,,,,,,he's receiving a video game system from his father and my daughter (His step mother), so I thought this paper from DCWV (Generation Tech stack) and this image from Mo Manning (Video Boy, African American version) would be perfect,,,,,,,The image is perfect for African American boys and also Hispanic boys like my grand son,,,,,,,,and probably even curly haired white children,,,,,,it's really an adorable image,,,,,,,,,there are also female versions and straight haired versions available!
Here's my card!
And here's a close up of this really darling image, which I've colored with copics and cut out and matted with Labels One.
I've used my Justrite fonts to add my text-speak/computer-speak "Happy Birthday to You" sentiment,,,,,,Kids,,,,,,they speak a different language these days LOL.
Anyway, Happy Birthday, Angel,,,,,,,Grandma loves you! And thank you all for looking,,I hope you liked the card :)

Good Morning! September has started and the kiddos are back to school! I heard the sound of mother's sighing all over my neighborhood this past week or two LOL. And over at Party Time Tuesdays this week, we have a fab challenge for you! We want to see Teacher's Gifts/Back to school cards and projects! Flonz Stamps will be sponsoring us this month, so stay tuned to see the fab projects and cards our DT will be turning out all month!
This week, however, I have a teacher's book mark made with Stitchy Bear Stamps!

The book mark itself was cut from chipboard with long scalloped rectangles and covered with red card stock,,,,,,I then cut the MME Lost and Found Christmas design paper from long rectangles. A pretty red polka dot ribbon and it's bright, pretty and simple for my grand daughter's teacher!
So come on over to Party Time Tuesdays and check out the DT's inspiration that we have prepared for you, see some gorgeous stamps and digis, and load up your card or project! You might win a prize!
Thanks for looking,,,,,,,I do hope you enjoyed the project! And I so appreciate all your comments,,,,,they mean the world to me :)

S is for,,,,,,,,,
SCHOOL!!!!!!!!
Good morning! It's Saturday, and it's time for another Sugar Creek Hollow challenge! This week we want to see your vintage or shabby chic "School Days" cards and projects!
So Today, I have this shabby chic card,,,,,
I just love this paper,,,,,I'm down to my last scraps, and for the life of me, I can't remember who makes it LOL. But it's just so bright and pretty! I found this retro/vintage Alphabet flash card (remember those?? LOL) online, printed it, added some copic highlights and then inked the edges with sepia ink,,,,,,a leftover button card, some pretty buttons (of course) and a few ribbons,,,,,,,,,,,
and here's the inside!
There are times that nothing but my Justrite Stampers fonts will do! Making my own sentiments and putting them wherever I want is one of those times!
I hope one of my dearest old friends will love this card!!!!!!
Thanks for looking and I hope you liked the card! Your comments are so appreciated (and I turned off the password protection that I loathe so much!) and I'd love to come visit your blog!
So come on over to Sugar Creek Hollow and load up your Vintage or Shabby Chic School Days card for a chance to win!

Good Morning!!!!!!!
It's Tuesday again, and time for our Party Time Tuesdays challenge,,,,,Anything Goes!
But before we Get to our fabulous sponsors this week, I'd like to remind you of the Blog Hop for our DT member Jen Scull tomorrow August 29th. There will be tons of fun and tons of prizes, so we hope to see you there!
On to this week! Our fabulous sponsors this week are Digital Delights, The Stamping Boutique, Crafty Sentiments and Designs on Cloud 9!!!!!! Thanks so much to our generous sponsors!
My oldest daughter went back to college recently to get her degree in Deaf Studies (Her oldest child is deaf and ultimately she wants to be a teacher for the Deaf). She was very VERY worried about her first science in college. I am happy to report that she was thrilled to bring home an A+! We are thrilled for her, she worked very hard,,,,,,,,,so I sent her this card using this DARLING and absolutely PERFECT for my needs image by the Stamping Boutique that just HAPPENED to fall in my lap at exactly the right time,,,,,,,,
Don't you just LOVE those bubbling flasks? How perfect is this for an A in science class? I was also able to use some of those fabulous Authentique stickers that were so nicely given to us earlier in the month by the Paper Parade!
I colored the image with copics, cut it out with spellbinders postage stamps and then inked through the die like a stencil,,,,,I did the same with the square with A+ on it and my sentiment "Way to go!" I used Basic Grey paper and a bright butterfly bow to really accent this school themed card!
I hope you enjoyed the card, and thanks for looking! Your comments mean the world to me! Hope to see you tomorrow for the blog hop!

Good Afternoon!! I think it's been MONTHS since I played along with the Sassy girls! But TODAY that ends!!!!!!Ssassy Cheryl's is one of my FAVORITE challenges, because the challenges are fun, easy, and the images are adorable!!!!! I made a card for the Sassy Cheryl's challenge "Favorite color combo"!
Doing sassy little dance!
Deciding WHICH of my fav color combos to do, however,,,,,,,wasn't so easy LOL. I have so many favs!!!!!! But since summer is coming, I decided my favorite THIS week was some summery colors!
My color combo,,,,,,,,peach, pink, orange and just a touch of green,,,,,,,
and so here's my color combo card using Sassy Cheryl's darling image (that just CALLED to me "buy me buy me buy me" when I went to her site!) Sam and Avery at Odds.
Please pardon the lousy cropping LOL,,,,,my battery was dying and I took the picture QUICKLY, not leaving enough background room for good quality cropping (darnitall),,,,,,,,but I want to get this in today, because I have a busy weekend!
Here's a close up of this darling image!
I love love LOVE this image!!!!!! so cute!!!!! I computer printed the sentiment (All differences aside...I love you.) and layered the image over scraps of my favorite papers,,,,,,,,some K and company sparkly rose paper, some DCWV striped paper,,,,,,,and Webster's peach and white polka dots. A pink ruffled trim on the bottom,,,,,,,and a bright orange ribbon, and she's done!
Make sure you run over to Sassy Cheryl's shop, get yourself an image, and then run over to the Sassy Cheryl's challenge blog and upload your card!!!! You get two entries to the prize if you use a Sassy Cheryl's image!
My next card (YES! ANOTHER!) I made for a dear friend who is laid up sick right now,,,,,
I used this gorgeous image from Sugar Nellie's line of "Simply Adorables" digi stamps,,,,,you can get them here! How darling is this?????????
I tried something a bit different here,,,,,,,I colored the image with copics and then layed some Webster's velum paper OVER the image,,,,,,
you can see a better close up here,,,,,, I'm not sure if I like it or not LOL,,,,,,,oh well, it's different!
some green velvet ribbon trim, a brown bow and some white lace a long the bottom, and she's finished. Easy peasy! This image is just GORGEOUS, and so easy to color!!!!! So much fun!
Thank you for looking, and I hope you enjoyed the cards!
I have more Sassy Cheryl's cards for graduations I am working on,,,,,,,,and a couple more Sugar Nellie cards as well! I hope to have those up later in the week.
I hope you all have a lovely safe holiday!

Party Time Tuesdays!!!!
Good Morning! It's Tuesday, and time to party with the Party Planners! We have a fun challenge for you over at Party Time Tuesdays this week!
VINTAGE OR SHABBY CHIC!!!!! Squeeeeeeeeeeeeel! I love vintage!
Our wonderful sponsors this week are The Paper Shelter, The Stamping Boutique and Fantastic ribbon!
Thanks so much to our generous sponsors! They do so much for us over at Party Time Tuesdays!
I was given this DARLING image by the Paper Shelter to work with,,,,,,he reminded me so much of a vintage farmer, that I had to dig through my vintage farm images to see what I had!
And here's my card!
Isn't he the cutest???? I colored hm in copics using blues and grays to imitate denim, cut him out with spellbinders Long Rectangles and layered him over vintage freebies found on the web. A bright red bow to pull out the reds on the images, a vintage ticket, and he's done! Easy as pie, and such a cute card! I used Graphic 45 papers to make this simple, yet darling card!
Here's a close up of this darling image!
I hope you run right over to Party Time Tuesdays and upload your vintage or shabby chic card and join the fun with the Party Planners!
Thanks for looking, and I hope you liked the card!

Sugar Creek Hollow!!!!
Good Morning! It's Saturday and over at Sugar Creek Hollow, we have a fun fun FUN challenge for you this week!
We want to see your TAGS! They should be vintage, shabby chic, or Primative in style,,,,,,and they can be a tag alone,,,or a tag on a card, whichever is your preference!
A Day for Daisies is our Fab sponsor this week!!!!
They were so generous to allow each of us to pick an image,,,,,,,,and when I saw this image, I fell in love and knew IMMEDIATELY what I would do!
I wanted the vintage story book look for my card,,,,,,,,so I colored the image in copics, cut it out, and then distressed and inked the edges. I then embossed with clear ink and clear embossing powder three times, and then folded and cracked the embossing powder.
Here's a close up of that!
I cut my card base from Grand Labels 23, and covered it with DCWV Once Upon a Time paper. I used spellbinders nested crowns, nested hearts, and Banner Basics 1 for the banner at the top. I edged the card base and the image with gold embossing powder. It ABSOLUTELY SPARKLES.
For my little tag, I computer printed a sentiment (not mine, I don't know who thought it up, but I've seen it before), inked it and distressed it, and then rolled the top and bottom to imitate a royal scroll, and then hung it by a gold cord on a gold metal button.
Here's a close up of my tag.
I added a key cut from spellbinders Heritage dies, a few gems, some prima flowers and she's finished!
I hope you enjoyed the card, and thanks for looking! Run right over to Sugar Creek Hollow and upload your card or tag!!!!
