Sassy Cheryl's Show Me Thursday,,,,,
Has life ever gotten the best of you?? Yeah, been there, done that,,,,,,,,,,over it LOL. I really love the weekly "Show Me Thursday" that Sassy Cheryl has every week,,,,,,
and I haven't taken a bleeping five minutes to snap a pic and load it up,,,,,,,in MONTHS.
talk about silly,,,,,,,,,,when there are free digis up for grabs, *I* have not taken FIVE MINUTES????
someone take my temperature!
Anywho,,,,,,,,,,,,this week, I promised myself I'd play along,,Cheryl wants to see what's on your plate,,,,,,,what you're up to, or what you're working on,,,,,,
and today, I've been working on learning to color with colored pencils and blending with OMS and baby oil. Totally fun,,,,,,,,,,and a totally different look than copics,,,,,,,,,,,,,but I really like it! NOT that I plan to give up my copics,,,,,,,,,,,,,buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut this is a great look I think I will enjoy sometimes :)
So,,,,,,,,,,,,,please keep in mind these are my FIRST attempts LOL,,,,,,,,,,
so without further ado,,,,,,,,,,here's what's on my desk today.
Have a great evening, and I hope to be back tomorrow with another card, although I am hard at work getting ready for my mom to come, arranging our stuff to go on vacation to the coast, camping gear for the camper, etc.
Have a great weekend if I don't see you before Monday! And thanks for looking!

Well, Hello There,,,,,,
I'm Holly,,,,,,,it's nice to meet your aquaintance LOL. I have been SO BUSY the past several weeks, camping, planning camping, getting ready for my mom to come, going to Disney World and working on DT work, I have hardly had A MINUTE to make a card to post here that ISN'T a DT card!
Well, today is the day! LOL. Actually, I have started SEVERAL cards that I intend to finish by tomorrow,,,,,,,some new Sugar Nellie stamps that are Oooooo la la,,,,,
and some FANTASTIC Sassy Cheryl's digi stamps,,,,,,,,I may actually DO the Sassy Cheryl's challenge this week! Yep, FAINT!
But today, I have a shabby chic card that has been in my head for WEEKS,,,,,,,but it's my new Prima Meadow Lark paper that actually got it ONTO a card base :)
so without further ado,,,,,,,,,,,,Here's my card!
I just LOVE this image,,,,,,,,,,I think I got it at Free Vintage Digi Stamps, button on my side bar. I cut it out with squares large and layered it over the Meadow lark paper and a paper doily,,,,,,,I created a banner out of coordinating paper and strung it on a length of string pearls,,,,some pearls, a length of striped ribbon, a sheer bow and a handmade flower (poinsettia die) and she's done!
Here's a close up of the flower,,,,,,,,,,,this flower was super easy,,,,,,,several layers of poinsettias some inking of the edges, and a bit of shaping, and it's finished,,,,,,,
And a final close up of the easy peasy banner I created,,,,,,,,,,,
So easy, yet so fresh and pretty! My mother-in-law should love it!
Thanks for looking, and I hope you enjoyed the card! Your comments mean the world to me!
Tomorrow is my Sugar Creek Hollow post, and I also hope to have some more cards up using some new digi stamps from Sugar Nellie and Sassy Cheryl!
Have a fantastic holiday weekend,,,,,,,,,,,I wish you good weather and better times with friends and family!

Party Time Tuesdays Challenge 50!
Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone is staying warm! It's been chillier than normal over night here in Florida, although not nearly cold enough to have snow!
Today I have a card for PTT challenge number 50! It's time to PAR-TAY! The challenge is to use a bird image in honor of Save the Eagles Day. That's IT! Easy peasy! It can be any kind of bird!
We're being sponsored by the wonderful and fabulous Digi Doodles Shop and the Paper Shelter! I've used this adorable image called Happy Penguins from The Paper Shelter! Aren't they adorable?
I took my sentiment from the name of the stamp! They just seem like they are doing the Happy Happy, Joy Joy dance to me :) See?
Paper is a mixture of DCWV paper and Hanukkah paper of all things LOL. I built the snowflakes out of glittery chipboard pieces and plastic embellishments I bought at Walmart and then added a gem for a bit more shine. I cut the adorable penguins with labels 4 nesties after some copic coloring and matted them with the largest labels 4. A nice bow with the snowflake on top, and she's finished!
So come on over to Party Time Tuesdays and join the party! You just might win a prize from our fab sponsors!
Thanks for looking, and have a great rest of the week!

Jingle bells, Jingle bells!

OK, so I like jingle bells,,,is that a crime? LOL.
I think this is the third card which uses a jingle bell,,,or several jingle bells,,,,,,but I just LOVE them! They add bulk to a card, which is costly when mailing, but thank goodness for flexible plastic envies and clear plastic boxes. Sheesh.
Today's card uses Mo Manning's "Kai in the snow" which you can find HERE! which I've colored with copics,,,,,,cut out with Labels 3 and matted onto this GORGEOUS paper (I just couldn't resist making another card with it!) Lost and Found by MME. This stuff is delicious! I'm down to making the special cards for really special people, so I'm really having a ball!
I've used some lace, a brown ribbon to pick up on the slight browns in the paper, somoe jingle bells that I picked up at Hobby Lobby on sale, some K and co stickers, and a ton of punch outs with my MS branch punch (best ten bucks I ever spent! I use that thing for everything!)
I'll be entering this into two challenges,,,,,,,,,,Mo's challenge blog theme of WINTER which you can find HERE! So stop by and make a winter card and you might win a digi!
I'll also be entering this into the Stamptacular sunday challenge with the theme of PUNCH IT, using punches on your page, found HERE! It's an awesomely fun challenge this week, and I'm sure you'd love it!
Thanks for looking, and I hope you enjoyed,,,,,,,I'm being a bit quick today because my husband and I are off to Disney World to enjoy the sunshine and 80 degree weather,,,,,,Have a great weekend!

Up On the Housetop!

Good Morning everyone! I have yet another card for the Sugar Hollow challenge--dots and stripes-- this week,,,,
I tell you what, I can NOT stay away from that challenge. I think I SQUEALED when I found it online LOL. Vintage is probably my favorite style. I love tons of styles, but vintage is what my heart goes to over and over again. Please consider stopping by and participating if you love vintage, shabby chic or primative cards and paper crafts! Here is the link!
Now, on with the card. I used Recollections Christmas Traditions paper pack for this one (I am seriously in love with their paper this year!),,,,,,the red is rich, deep and vibrant! It's just stunningly gorgeous all on it's own!
first I matted with the red, green and gold plaid (stripes) paper onto Kraft card stock, then cut a smaller mat out of the "Up on the House Top" paper and cut the top with a fancy border punch. I then used my Banners 2 to cut some kraft cs into the fancy border shape I've adhered to the top,,,,,but first, I embossed the entire thing in gold embossing powder. I tell you, if you've never tried gold embossing powder RUN, do not walk, to the store and buy some! it's messy as heck, but OH BOY, the sparkle. Unfortunately, I do not think my camera did the sparkle justice!
Then I adhered the negative cut of the border punch on top of that and gemmed it up (bling bling!), coloring my gem dots with copic markers.
next, I embossed (again with gold!) some snow flakes, and set more gems (dots!) in the centers of all the snow flakes and embossed the SEASONS GREETINGS stamp (both the sentiment and the snow flakes are Crafty Secrets stamps).
I printed this gorgeous vintage santa and colored him with copics cut him out with classic circles Large and antiqued it with sepia ink. I embossed some gorgeous branch punch outs with more gold, a fancy gold button and a North Pole ticket, and she's done!
I just LOVE it! It sparkles so much, and nothing is more classy than red and gold for Christmas, I think.
I hope you enjoyed, and REALLY, pop over to the challenge and try your hand at some vintage goodness!

Good Afternoon, Everyone!!!!! I have two cards to share today,,,,,,,,yes, using more of my WONDERFUL copics! (and I got more today too!)
Many of you may not know that I have a Deaf grandson,,,,,,,he's been deaf since he was about a year old,,,,,
He gets a lot of help from a very powerful hearing aid in one ear (the other is just too far gone to help with a hearing aid),,,,,,,,,but he still has difficulty discriminating sounds that are similar,,,,,,,D and B for example.
So of course, learning to read is very difficult when you can not hear the SOUNDS that the letters make,,,,,,,
So, his teachers and his mother do anything they can to get him to read ANYTHING at all! Practice, practice, PRACTICE!
I came across some wonderful coloring pages on the web by the very talented children's book illustrator, Elizabeth O Dulemba. She very graciously allows card makers to use her images for PERSONAL USE ONLY (do NOT sell the images or cards made with the images) provided that credit is given and a link to her site is included with any web postings. Very generous! Thank you so much, Elizabeth! They are wonderfully, whimsical images that are perfect for making cards for the children in your life.
You can find her coloring pages at WWW.Dulemba.Com. Spread the word so that more people will know about Elizabeth's beautiful books! A book is one of the best gifts we can give ANY child!!!!!
So, anywho, I came across these beautiful images and knew immediately that I would make two cards,,,,,,one for each of my grandchildren,,,,,,,and include money or a gift card to a book store so that they could buy a book.
Michael and Angeliegh, I hope you enjoy your books,,,,,,,Grandma loves you!!!!!!!
