Beauty and the Beast!!!!!

Good morning, scrappy friends!!!!!

Well, here you have it,,,,,,Beauty and the Beast,,,,,,

The beast is the current state of my bathroom,,,,,E gads, it's disgusting! The previous owners had let the tub leak for months, and it created issues with the floor. they "fixed" the problem poorly, and it was a YEAR before we figured it out,,,we haven't used the tub in over a year, so it's going to be WONDERFUL to get a brand new bathroom,,,,,,,,until then,,,,THIS is my view LOL. As you can see, they are in the midst of tearing the flooring out,,,

In addition to this disgusting disaster, I have a card today that I finished last night (no WAY I'll be scrapping today with power tools and bath tubs tromping through my livingroom,,,,,

It's my mother's birthday in less than a week, so I need to get this baby in the mail. I'll also be entering this into the Penny Black and More challenge HERE! for a happy birthday card. In this challenge, you may use any stamp you'd like, but NO digi images.

I've used a fiskar's sentiment stamp from the Happy Birthday kit, and stamped it onto MME paper with versafine black onyx ink. some matting, a few gorgeous flowers made with my Create a Rose die out of this stunning MME paper (aren't you all glad it's NOT a poinsettia? LOL), a bow, some ribbon and a fancy corner embelly and it's' DONE. I hope my mother likes it,,,,

I go overboard. Yeah, hard to believe, I know,,,,,,,,but every now and again, I over embellish LOL.

And such is the case with this card. I think I over did it,,,,,,but,,,,I think I like it,,,,,

anyway, it is what it is LOL, and what it is, is an entry into the Colour Create Challenge you can find HERE!

The challenge was to use aqua, deep pink, and ivory. And the optional "glitter".

I've used paper scraps from my stash to make this card,,,,,mostly DCWV, I believe,,,,,,the pink paper is glitter cs. I've matted the most adorable Sassy Cheryl Image called I love you THIS MUCH (girl)! you can find Cheryl's adorable images HERE!

I've used feathers, a stick pin, a butterfly bow from the sheerest of ribbons and some home made flowers to accent the adorable image,,,and my spellbinders postage stamps add the perfect frame!

Easy Peasy Quick and Easy

I just love quick and easy cards,,,,,especially when you need a card quickly for a birthday party in less than an hour :) and you STILL have to shower and wash your hair!

One of the ways that I love to make a card extra special and really quick is to use diecuts,,,,either ones I cut myself,,,,,or ones you buy in a pack. I am showing you both kinds today,,,,,,,

The cake card was made using the DCWV Sweet stack, and had a paper with an adorable cake,,,,,I simply used my nesties classic ovals to cut it out, pop dotted it on the background paper and surrounded it with a string of pearls,,,,,,,a quick bow and FINIS.

The other two cards have die cuts by K and company, spring blossom collection,,,,,so pretty, so sparkly, and they really make a card,,,,,You don't have to add much more to make the card really gorgeous. I made a window, put the diecut on the inside of the card and made a few easy flowers, courtesy of my Spellbinders Create a Rose dies, added pearls and a bow,,,,,,,,and I'm done!!!!

so easy, and really pretty!!! and for less than 4 bucks for about 40 or 50 of the diecuts, pretty cheap too! Or I can cut them out of paper or on my cricut! What could be easier?
