Justrite and some new dies!

Good evening!  It's the day before Valentines Day and I have been waiting impatiently for some new dies to come in in order to make my husband a valentine!  And Just Rite Stampers Friday challenge gave me some wonderful inspiration for my card today, and so I wanted to share!

Here's the challenge sketch for the week! I thought it would go so well with my new Poppy Stamps dies!

I am just loving how my card turned out!  I'm only hoping it's not TOO girly for my husband LOL

The dies, of course, are the well loved Grand Madison Window die and Grand Madison Window Box die. They got here at noon today, and I was cutting by 12:05!  The stamps are, of course, Just Rite Stampers!  A favorite set of mine is used here,,,,,,,,,"Just the Right Words",,,,,,,,because they are just the right words for almost anything!

I used the window as my focal point, a Recollections heart border punch as my scallops,,,,,,and the window box in place of the banner in the sketch..

Here's a close up!

Some Cute Little Valentines,,,,,,,

Good Evening,,,,,Today I decided to make a few valentines for my grand children,,,,,,

Here's the insides,,,,,,,,
There's room inside for a little note to personalize for each,,,,,,,

And on the back, I've glued a box of sweetheart candies!

Glitter: Martha Stewart Tinsel Glitter Copper and Kunzite Pink

Ribbon: Red-Recollections, white and pink dots-Really Reasonable Ribbon January selection

Oooh La La!

Good morning!

I'm making valentines again this week!  Fun stuff :)

Again, I wanted to play along with the JustRite Friday Challenge, and I happen to own a set of French themed stamps from Justrite. I also happen to have a daughter who is in love with anything French LOL, so I thought it a good opportunity to make her valentine.

Justrite wants us to follow this sketch for this challenge,,,,
I love this sketch,,,,,,,,,and if you'll recall, I already made ONE card with it for the challenge,,,,,,but I wanted to have a bit more fun with it,,,,,,,

and here's my card!
I had a bit less room to work with on this card,,,,,,,,,but I just love the Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares I used for this little shaped card (and they are very French too!)

Another angle:

As you can tell from past cards, I'm normally a BIG BOW kinda gal,,,,,,,,,but this card is only about 4x4, so I knew I had to go with a smaller bow if I wasn't going to overwhelm it,,,,,,,hence this tiny 1 inch bow made on my peg bow maker.  I love that I can choose my size so easily!

Card Recipe:
Cardstock: scraps , Coordinations Fired Brick, and Recollections Kraft
Stamps: Justrite Bon Voyage cling set (eifel tower) and Justrite Be Strong clear stamp set
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Dies: Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares, Postage Stamps, Squares Large
Ribbon, Pearls, and Bling: Michaels Recollections
Embossing: Provocraft Polka Dots 5x7 folder

I hope you enjoyed the card,,,,,,,,you still have a day to join the fun at Justrite Stampers Friday Challenge so run right over and upload YOUR card using Justrite Stamps!

I'd also like to enter this card into the Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge to use ribbon, lace or trim on your Love/Valentines day card!  This looks like a fun challenge that I'd like to try more often!  They also have a great monthly ribbon club that I'm going to join this week! Check them out!

Thanks for your comments! I'd love to visit YOUR blog!

Happy Valentines Day!!!!!!

This is my second post of the day,,,,,,,,,,please scroll down for my Party Time Tuesday DT post!

I just wanted to say Happy Valentines to all my friends out there,,,,I wish I could give you each a valentine! Since I can't,,,,,,,,,,this will have to do!

This was such a quick and easy card,,,,,,,I started out with a burgundy card base that I cut the bottom of with Classic Ric Rak,,and then lined above with a white, gathered ribbon,,,,My card layers are as follows, from the bottom up,,,,,,

postage stamps, a paper heart doily, Nellie Snellen Lily Circle (using the two largest dies, my favorite combo!), lacey squares, eyelet pendants, and then finally one of the smaller elements of the Fleur De Lis pendants,,,,,,,,

a ribbon, a charm, and a stick pin pretty much finish it up,,,,,,it's a smaller card (4.25x5.5) so it didn't take much to fill it up!

Here's a close up!

I hope you enjoyed "your" valentine,,,,,,thanks for looking,,,,,,,and I so appreciate your comments and your support!!!!

Have a lovely Valentines Day,,,,,,,,I hope your loved ones bring you something lovely so you know you're loved,,,,,,,,,and if they do not,,,,,go out and get yourself something lovely,,,,,,,,,to show YOU that you love YOU!

PTT 54! Valentines Day!

Good Morning!!!!!

It's Tuesday, and that means it's time to Party with the Party Planners at Party Time Tuesdays! This week we're celebrating Valentines Day! I can't believe it's so close,,,,,,,,I swear, just yesterday it was Halloween!

Our month long sponsors who are so generous this month are ZVA Creatives, who supplied bling and flowers for the Party Planners,,,,,,,,,,,and I-Copic who is supplying a prize! So hop on over to PTT (link above) and get some valentines cards done up,,,,,,you might win a prize!!!!! (Please remember to follow the theme and to post our badge on your side bar to be eligible!)

Our weekly sponsors this week are Wee Stamps who provided this adorable little image and the Digi Doodles Shop! Thanks to all our generous sponsors!

I've used this image from Wee Stamps, colored it in copics and cut it out with Spellbinders Circles Large,,,,,and then matted on Eyelet Circles. I've used K and Company paper on this card, and it's GORGEOUS,,,,so shiny and sparkly! It goes PERFECTLY with the sparkly bling from ZVA which I've used as the center of the largest flower and as the stems and leaves. So pretty!

The largest two flowers I have hand made from Spellbinders Rose Creations, using white water color paper,,,,,I've then shaped the flowers with a stylus and then used pink glimmer mist to tip the flowers with,,,,,it's so shimmery and makes a lovely two toned flower! I've then tipped the edges with glitter,,,,,these flowers really sparkle!

The smaller flowers and the leaves are from ZVA Creatives,,,,,,,so cute! A computer generated sentiment made with my Just Rite Happy Everything tag kit, and she's done!

I hope you enjoyed the card, and thank you so much for looking!!!!

A Sexy Little Valentine!!!!!

I don't generally do this type of card,,,,,in fact,,,it's pretty much NOT my style,,,,,,,buuuuuuuut,,,,I happened to win a couple images from Kenny K, and for some reason,,,,,this image (Sexy Cupid) stuck in my head as something kinda cute to give my DH for Valentines day,,,,,,,You can get this and many other cute digis from Kenny K here!

We can all dream LOL!

I used AGAIN my favorite paper Lost and Found by MME (I loved this stuff so much, I ended up buying a HUGE pad of it at HL,,,,,,the sheets are thin, but I didn't care,,,and that's saying something! I am normally quite picky about the thickness of my papers!)

I layered on this deep red paper over black and cream dots,,,,,I cut the edges of the card and the pp with nesties edgeabilities (classic Ric Rak) and then layered the whole over red and cream dots,,,,,,

the image was colored with copics,,,,,,not my best job, but black is a tough color to get right. And hair confounds me every single time,,,,,,,eh, practice makes perfect! I stickled her wings liberally and it has hints of gold in it,,,,,,which led me to dig out the very last (sob!) tiny piece of my gold mirror card and cut this key and heart lock. I believe the nesties set is called "Timeless Heritage", and I bought it YEARS ago before I knew I'd someday have almost 40 sets of nesties LOL. I do not think it's available any longer.

A few sticky gems and a small ribbon and she's finished!

Here's a close up of the image!

I think he'll like it,,,,,,,and get a kick out of the sentiment,,,,,,,, "We can all dream. Happy Valentines Day".

Thanks for looking, and I hope you enjoyed!

May Arts Ribbon Challenge

Recently, May Arts Ribbon chose 25 people to produce vintage valentines projects using their ribbon. I am proud to be one of them. This ribbon is so gorgeous, and drapes SO beautifully, it just floats. I can't describe it any differently,,,,,,it's just stunning.

So to show how beautifully it drapes, I just HAD TO make this double bow with quad bow attached and EIGHT tails. Yep,,,,,eight. They just FLOAT down the card.

Truly, this is luscious, beautiful, ROMANTIC ribbon,,,,,,,,so I chose a romantic theme for my card. The card itself is 6x6, gate fold and opens in the middle,,,,,,,I used MME Lost and Found paper (I know AGAIN!) and cut an oval window out of the card base, putting this beautiful vintage Valentines day image behind. All the flowers are hand made, inked, glittered, and dew drops applied with glossy accents. I've used the spellbinders foliage die and the MS winter branch punch for the foliage amongst the flowers that create this demi-wreath surrounding the vintage image.I used a hole punch and cupped them with a stylus, shaping them for the bits of tiny baby's breath amongst the foliage.

A Prima "say it in pearls and crystals" adds some shimmer,,,,,,,,and the gorgeous bow is the star of the show!

Here's some more pics and close ups,,,,,

The stunning ribbon that went to make this bow, the gorgeous vintage image and flowers,,,,,and finally the inside of the card.

I hope you enjoyed the card, and thanks for looking!!!!!!!

Happy Sunday!

So Valentines day is coming up QUICKLY! And I've been working on some Valentines Day cards in addition to my DT work. I've been meaning to blog since FRIDAY, but my computer is on the fritz, I've been using my husband's lappy, and I can't make his computer recognize my card reader. GAAH! (Not to mention, all my favorite challenges AND images are STORED in my computer!)

So, I finally figured this out on the FAMILY computer,,,,,my next goal is to find some of my fav challenges and work on those! LOL, I am so computer illiterate!

So today, I have a Valentines day card made with some old stand by paper,,,,,,yes, that would be MME Lost and Found! Love that stuff! The first thing I did was to punch the edge of my card with a MS punch (I wish she put the name of her punch ON the punch!)  No clue where this sentiment stamp came from, I think it was a dollar bin find at Joanns last year.  I've framed the sentiment with Nesties Postage stamps, Floral doily motifs, and standard squares large, the larger roses are spellbinders spiral blossoms 1. It's brand new, and I LOVE it. It took a bit of time and some staring at Amazing Paper Grace and Becca's roses before I figured out how to best roll them so that I could shape the outer edges, but I finally have roses that I love! Thanks, Becca!

The smaller roses are MFT mini rolled roses,,,,,they're so cute and great for tiny spots!  I tied a triple bow on my peg bow maker (Thanks again, Becca!), a few pearls, some lace and a heart charm, and she's done.

Here's a close up of the roses!

Thanks for looking, and I hope you enjoyed! And while I'm at it, I'm going to enter this into Sassy Cheryl's show me thursday challenge! I've missed her :(

Love is in the Air,,,,

Hello!! I hope your week is going well so far. I have another card to share,,,,,,I'm sure I'll get back to doing some last minute Christmas cards, but I'm just feeling "Valentines Day" this week, I guess :)

And, I am LOVING my little 6x6 stack of MME Lost and Found Union Square paper! so many of the papers lend themselves to V-day, maybe that's why I'm in that mood :)

I'm using this ADORABLE image from Sliekje today,,,,,and best of all, ALL her digis are FREE! and she has SO many cute ones! So pop on over HERE to get some darling digi stamps for free!

I've colored the darling birds with copics, matted some Union Station paper, some pearls a stick pin and a bow, a fancy corner embellishment, and I LOVE how this turned out,,,,,,I love red and black together to begin with, but the addition of the beige and a touch of gold really makes it pop, I think. And it's all ready for one of my daughters for V-day!

AND it's all ready for the Party Time Tuesday challenge of ANYTHING GOES this week! You can find this incredibly super fun challenge HERE! Get moving and hurry up because they have some SUPER prizes from FABULOUS sponsors this week!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!!!!

Ok, so I'm a bit early LOL,,,but I've made about as many Christmas cards as I can stand to make (although I'm sure I'll make more later LOL) and I wanted to get a jump start on my Valentines Day cards,,,,,,

This is for the fantastic challenge over at Sugar Creek Hollow,,,,I was SO annoyed to realize that I'd MISSED the last challenge,,,The holiday week had me pretty busy, and I just didn't have time :(

So I made a special effort to join this time, because I truly LOVE this challenge,,,,,,

The theme for this challenge is "Fancy Folds" and you can find this fun challenge right here!.

I decided to use a vintage image that I got on the Graphics Fairy (button on side bar), the Lost and Found Union Square paper (LOVELY reds in this stack!) to make this little candy bar wrapper. It holds a king size hershey bar, and it's so cute,,,,,you just pull the ribbon, and out comes the candy bar! I've attached a little Valentines ticket inside that says FOR YOU, a bit of lace, dicut out of the Union Station paper, and it's finished, easy peasy!. I'm SURE I can find someone to give this little card to!

Hope you enjoyed and thanks for looking!
