Button Cards!
I've been looking for printable "button cards" for some time now,,,,,you know,,,,the cards you can buy buttons on,,,,,,,,especially the vintage type you'd find in your grandmother's sewing basket. Well, FINALLY I found some! So I had to make some cards!

I used scraps for the patterned papers,,,mostly Webster's Pages, button cards, vintage images (free vintage digi stamps, button to the right), felt, lace, hand dyed seam binding,,,,,,,and of course, buttons!
Here they are individually,,,,,,
They were really fun and easy to make!!!!

Sassy Cheryl's, CSAYL and a Card for Fun!
Good Evening,,,,,,,,about the only GOOD thing about having several herniated discs is that when they go out, you have a good excuse to sit on your butt and do nothing but make cards LOL.
Yep,,,,,two days of relaxation here,,,,,,,but I do believe I am on the mend :)
Today, I have a challenge entry for two challenges!
Sassy Cheryl's weekly challenge this week is "pretty papers",,,,,they want to see your cards with pretty papers!
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long wants to see your cards using the following picture for inspiration!
It was an easy combination!!!!!
Here's my card for both challenges!
I colored the Sassy Cheryl image with copics and prismacolors, cut it out with Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom Ornaments and then debossed it with a Tim Holtz sow flake embossing folder,,,,,,I then embossed white card stock with the same folder, and cut several more ornament shapes from several of my prettiest green papers,,,,,I also cut the star from the Sassy Cheryl image separately from the image with the smallest ornament die. I "hung" the ornaments on sparkly gold ribbon, pop dotted them up, and gave each ornament a gold bow. Easy peasy and really pretty!
So run on over to Sassy Cheryl's and Christmas Stampin' All Year Long and load up your cards! You might win a prize
My second card is just for fun! I had this image in my computer and I've been meaning to do something with it for some time now,,,,,,,I cut the image out using spellbinders rectangles long and spellbinders scallopped rectangles long, added some cute die cuts, hand rolled roses, lace, velvet ribbon and a bow! It's a bit different than my normal "vintage" cards, but I think I like it!
I hope you enjoyed the cards, and thanks for looking!!!!!!

Sugar Creek Hollow Saturday!!!!
Good Saturday morning! We have a PHENOMENAL challenge for you today over at Sugar Creek Hollow!
CIRCLES!!!!!!!!
We want to see circles ON your card or project,,,,,,,,,and/or the card SHAPE must be a circle!!!!
I had SO MUCH FUN with this project! It was one of those things that just grew and grew as I worked on it!!!!! And I have a TON of pics for this, so here we go!
I created a pretty glass canister for bath salts by reusing a Prima flower jar.
Here's my project!
I used Spellbinders circles large and spellbinders picot edge circles to create the circle behind which I glued lace before setting it on top of the glass jar and securing with pop dots. As you can see, I also created a matching tag for whatever gift giving occasion I eventually use this for!
Here's some more pictures!
I got this stunning image from Bumble Button, added a bow of gold ribbon, gold netting and some pearls,,,,,
Another gold netting bow tied around the neck of the jar, a prima flower and leaf,,,,,,
And then filled the jar with pretty pink bath salts for pennies!
I printed an additional image larger, and cut the front label from that with rectangles large.
Pretty, inexpensive, and will be beautiful in someone's bathroom!
I hope you enjoyed my circles project,,,,,,and thanks for looking! Run right over to SCH and load up your vintage, shabby chic, or primitive circles project!! And be sure to stop by Bumble Button and see all the gorgeous images they have FOR FREE!

HAPPY SATURDAY!!
Today over at Sugar Creek Hollow we have a wonderful challenge for you!!!!!
Make your OWN Designer Paper!!!!! It's SO much fun and SO EASY! So go ahead, try it, and see how amazing it makes your card look!
Here's mine!
I created my designer paper with a simple piece of red card stock,,,,,,,,,and a stamp. I used versafine black onyx ink (which I LOVE LOVE LOVE for dark, crisp stamping) and randomly stamped all over the red paper. Simple as that! I love the effect!
I found this gorgeous image on Bumble Button, and cut it out and matted it with circles large,,,,,,,a sheer double bow, a gold metal button and she's finished. It's not often I make a CAS card,,,,,,,but I am really loving the home made DP and wanted to really let that shine!
Here's a close up of that adorable image!
I hope you enjoyed the card, and thanks for looking!!!! Now get out those stamps and ink, sprays and glitter and make yourself some gorgeous DP and upload YOUR card to Sugar Creek Hollow! I can't wait to see what you create!!!!!!!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!
Well, it's Father's Day over at SUGAR CREEK HOLLOW!!! This week we want to see your father's day cards and crafts!!! Please remember that they must follow the SCH guidelines of "vintage, shabby chic, or primitive".
I'm going to try and keep a long story on the short side here, LOL,,but it's hard for me to show this card without telling the story,,,,,
I lost my father nearly 20 years ago. I loved him more than he could possibly imagine. He was an amazing father,,,,,,
mostly because he WASN'T my father,,,,,,,at least not my biological father. He was my step-father and he married my mother when I was 5 years old. You'd never know it,,unless you KNEW it. From the first day he married my mother, he was DAD. And that was that,,,,,,,,,My mother and he later had 2 more children,,,,,,but my sister and I were always every bit as much his as they were.
He wasn't perfect,,,,,,,,,but even in his imperfections,,,,he was amazing. He had a drinking problem,,,,,,for years. He was never mean, or nasty,,,,,,,,,,but he ruined many family holidays falling asleep over the thanksgiving turkey.
When I was about 15, he went and got sober,,,,,,,,and although I know it was a great effort for him, he never drank again. Someone who realizes what's wrong about himself and goes and CHANGES it is someone I can love and respect.
And so Dad,,,,,,,I love you and miss you so much.
And every year when I make a Father's Day card for my husband,,,,,,,,,I wish I could make him one.
So this year, I just gave into the temptation, and made my father a Father's Day card,,,,,,,,
It's simple,,,,,,like he was. He was a man of few words, but much love.
So without further ado,,,,,,,,,my card for my Daddy.
And the inside that says all I wanted to say,,,,,,,,,,,or wished I could say,,,,,,,,,
Happy Father's Day, Daddy,,,,,,,,,you were an amazing father and an amazing human being.
Thank you all for looking, and I hope you liked the card,,,,,,,,,so run right over to SCH and upload YOUR Father's Day project or card!!!!!

Sassy Cheryl Challenge and a fun card!
Good Afternoon!! I think it's been MONTHS since I played along with the Sassy girls! But TODAY that ends!!!!!!Ssassy Cheryl's is one of my FAVORITE challenges, because the challenges are fun, easy, and the images are adorable!!!!! I made a card for the Sassy Cheryl's challenge "Favorite color combo"!
Doing sassy little dance!
Deciding WHICH of my fav color combos to do, however,,,,,,,wasn't so easy LOL. I have so many favs!!!!!! But since summer is coming, I decided my favorite THIS week was some summery colors!
My color combo,,,,,,,,peach, pink, orange and just a touch of green,,,,,,,
and so here's my color combo card using Sassy Cheryl's darling image (that just CALLED to me "buy me buy me buy me" when I went to her site!) Sam and Avery at Odds.
Please pardon the lousy cropping LOL,,,,,my battery was dying and I took the picture QUICKLY, not leaving enough background room for good quality cropping (darnitall),,,,,,,,but I want to get this in today, because I have a busy weekend!
Here's a close up of this darling image!
I love love LOVE this image!!!!!! so cute!!!!! I computer printed the sentiment (All differences aside...I love you.) and layered the image over scraps of my favorite papers,,,,,,,,some K and company sparkly rose paper, some DCWV striped paper,,,,,,,and Webster's peach and white polka dots. A pink ruffled trim on the bottom,,,,,,,and a bright orange ribbon, and she's done!
Make sure you run over to Sassy Cheryl's shop, get yourself an image, and then run over to the Sassy Cheryl's challenge blog and upload your card!!!! You get two entries to the prize if you use a Sassy Cheryl's image!
My next card (YES! ANOTHER!) I made for a dear friend who is laid up sick right now,,,,,
I used this gorgeous image from Sugar Nellie's line of "Simply Adorables" digi stamps,,,,,you can get them here! How darling is this?????????
I tried something a bit different here,,,,,,,I colored the image with copics and then layed some Webster's velum paper OVER the image,,,,,,
you can see a better close up here,,,,,, I'm not sure if I like it or not LOL,,,,,,,oh well, it's different!
some green velvet ribbon trim, a brown bow and some white lace a long the bottom, and she's finished. Easy peasy! This image is just GORGEOUS, and so easy to color!!!!! So much fun!
Thank you for looking, and I hope you enjoyed the cards!
I have more Sassy Cheryl's cards for graduations I am working on,,,,,,,,and a couple more Sugar Nellie cards as well! I hope to have those up later in the week.
I hope you all have a lovely safe holiday!

Party Time Tuesdays!!!!
Good Morning! It's Tuesday, and time to party with the Party Planners! We have a fun challenge for you over at Party Time Tuesdays this week!
VINTAGE OR SHABBY CHIC!!!!! Squeeeeeeeeeeeeel! I love vintage!
Our wonderful sponsors this week are The Paper Shelter, The Stamping Boutique and Fantastic ribbon!
Thanks so much to our generous sponsors! They do so much for us over at Party Time Tuesdays!
I was given this DARLING image by the Paper Shelter to work with,,,,,,he reminded me so much of a vintage farmer, that I had to dig through my vintage farm images to see what I had!
And here's my card!
Isn't he the cutest???? I colored hm in copics using blues and grays to imitate denim, cut him out with spellbinders Long Rectangles and layered him over vintage freebies found on the web. A bright red bow to pull out the reds on the images, a vintage ticket, and he's done! Easy as pie, and such a cute card! I used Graphic 45 papers to make this simple, yet darling card!
Here's a close up of this darling image!
I hope you run right over to Party Time Tuesdays and upload your vintage or shabby chic card and join the fun with the Party Planners!
Thanks for looking, and I hope you liked the card!

Sugar Creek Hollow Saturday!!!!!
I am really excited today!!!!!!! We have a fantastic challenge for you over at Sugar Creek Hollow! Something about any lover of vintage or shabby chic LOVVVVVVVES!
PEARLS AND SWIRLS!!!!!! We want to see pearls and flourishes on your vintage, shabby chic or primitive card!!!!! Other than that,,,,,,,the sky is the limit!
We also have a fantastic guest designer joining us at SCH this week, so be sure to come on over and welcome her,,,,,,,,,and then run right over to her blog to see her gorgeous work!
Welcome to Amelia Breytenbach! Amelia, it's so nice to have you with us this week!
And here's my card!
I am absolutely IN LOVE with this paper! It's Prima Meadow Lark,,,,,,,,and when I first got it, I was a bit disappointed,,,,,,,,but once I started layering with this gorgeous vintage rose image,,,,,,,OH MY, the paper jumps right off the card! So pretty!
I got this lovely image at a new (for me) vintage freebies site,,,,,,,,,,and I think I spent 4 hours yesterday going through every page she had to find some incredibly gorgeous images! So make sure you stop by and see what she has! The blog is called Bumble Button!
Here's the image, close up,,,,,,,
This is a relatively simple card, because I really wanted this gorgeous image and the paper to shine,,,,
I cut the image out with Spellbinders Ovals Large, inked the edges and centered it over layered Meadow Lark paper,,,,,,it's really too stunning. some ruffled ribbon, yellow sheer ribbon, Prima "Say it in pearls and crystals" flourish and some extra pearls, and she's finished!
So easy, yet SO elegant!
I hope you loved the card, and thanks so much for looking! Your comments mean the world to me!
I hope you enjoy this week's amazing challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow, and we look forward to seeing your entry!

Sugar Creek Hollow!!!!!!!!!
Good Morning!!!!!!!! It's Saturday and time for a new Sugar Creek Hollow challenge!!!!!
And this week, our challenge is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Black and White!!!!!
We want to see your black and white vintage, shabby chic and Primitive style cards in ONLY black and white. The image may be colored, but otherwise,,,,,,,,,we want ONLY black and white!!!
Here's my card!
I got this lovely image FREE from Free Vintage Digi Stamps and couldn't resist it! Pamela has the NICEST digi stamps, and they are ALL FREE! Pop on over there and see what you can find!
I colored this stunning image with the barest of copic color hints,,,,,I used R20 for the fan, lace and feathers, BG10 for the back ground and just a touch of YG 63 for the dress and hat, and E00 for skin tones.
My card base was cut from Romantic Rectangles,,,,,,,and I also used Romantic Rectangles for several of the card elements,,,,,,,I embossed the smallest with my Tim Holtz post card embossing folder and then stamped it with a little post mark stamp that I bought at Joann's. The patterned paper is more MME Lost and Found scraps!
A few pearls, and she's finished,,,,,,,,,,easy peasy and tons of fun! She measures about 5 inches X 3.25 inches, and is perfect for a little note card!
We have some more exciting news over at Sugar Creek Hollow this week!!!! Today, we are welcoming Liz and Yvonne to our Design Team!!!!! We are so excited to have them!! Congratulations, Ladies! I can't wait to see what beautiful things you create!
I hope you enjoyed the card, and thanks for looking! Now run right over to SCH and upload your black and white card! You might win a wonderful prize from Sugar Creek Hollow!

Sugar Creek Hollow Again!
Good Morning! I hope you're all ready for some amazing inspiration from the Sugar Creek Hollow team! This week's challenge is Monochromatic Green!
Well, sometimes I just don't FEEL like making a card,,,,,and this week was one of those! So I dug through my scraps and found a piece of 4.5x5 leftover piece of chipboard, and decided to make myself a hanging plaque for my scrappy room.
I covered the chipboard in scrap paper, used a MS deep edge "fan" punch to add some interest, and a bit of lace along the bottom. Then I punched holes in the top and strung some green ribbon through. My center focal point is made from nesties,,,,,,,,from the bottom up, 2 layers of Moroccan Motifs, a smaller Moroccan motif, lacey ovals and then finally ovals to cut out the image. It's gorgeous, and SOOOOOOOOOOO vintage with the gorgeous dress and basque the lady is wearing. Too scrumptious! I put a small layered crown on the side, a big quad bow and a stick pin,,,,and then added a few clear gems just for a bit of sparkle. It's hanging in my scrap room as we speak!
Here's a close up of all the layers!
I hope you enjoyed the project this week,,,,,,be sure to head over to Sugar Creek Hollow and link up your monochromatic GREEN project!!!! And while you're there, take a look at the Design Team's inspiration for the week! You won't be sorry you did!
Thanks for looking, I really appreciate it!
