Justrite Stampers Challenge!

Good Morning!  It's no secret that I love Justrite Stamps! And yet again, Justrite Stampers Friday Challenge has sparked my creativity!

This week's challenge is ANYTHING GOES with Justrite Stamps!  They want us to use our favorite JR stamps and tell why they are our favorites. Well, I've been wanting to experiment with Justrite Stamps and some home decor,,,,,,,,and the anything goes challenge is a great time to experiment with something a bit different.

To be honest, it's not often I make something for MYSELF. I usually give it away LOL. This time, I was determined to do so!  I wanted a wall hanging,,,,,,,,,,something springy, happy, pretty and PINK.

Here's what I came up with!
The stamp set I used for this project is Justrite's Cast All Your Cares clear stamp set. It's one of my absolute favorites, because it's so versitile. There are both old and new testament verses for both my Jewish and Christian friends,,,,,,and it's appropriate to SO MANY situations.  Psalm 29:11 is one of my favorites,,,,,,and so I decided to use this stamp for my wall hanging.

Here's a close up of this gorgeous JR stamp!
To make this pretty wall hanging, I first hand cut a heart out of card stock, which I traced onto white board.  I then cut out the white board and covered it with some pretty digi papers by Nitwit Collections and added a bit of pretty white lace to peep out.

I then hot glued some wired pink berries onto the edges of the white board and embellished with pearls, buttons, mini rolled roses in complimentary colors, and some spellbinders leaves made from gold mirror card stock.

For my focal point I layered Spellbinders Parisian Motifs in pretty pink paper which I had stamped with my sentiment,  and Fleur de Lis from gold card stock (the center I cut out with Squares Large).

I then embellished the focal point with some sticky pearls and a pretty Recollections button.

I then hot glued a ribbon to the back for hanging,,,,,,,,and embellished with a matching bow.

Simple, yet pretty and elegant!

Project Recipe:

Papers: Nitwit Collections (rose patterned paper), Coordinations (plain card stock), The Paper Company (Gold mirror card stock)
Stamps: Justrite Cast All Your Cares
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx
dies: Spellbinders Foliage, Parisian Motifs, Fleur De Lis Squares, Squares Large, MFT Die-namics Mini Royal Roses
Ribbon: Hobby Lobby
Buttons: Bazzill and Recollections
Wired Pearls and Pink Berries: Michaels
Sticky Pearls: Recollections

I hope you enjoyed the project,,,,,,,and I hope you run right over to the Justrite Friday Challenge and upload your own Anything Goes card or project!

Thanks so much for your comments!  I appreciate them so much,,,,,,,and I'd love to visit your blog!

Oooh La La!

Good morning!

I'm making valentines again this week!  Fun stuff :)

Again, I wanted to play along with the JustRite Friday Challenge, and I happen to own a set of French themed stamps from Justrite. I also happen to have a daughter who is in love with anything French LOL, so I thought it a good opportunity to make her valentine.

Justrite wants us to follow this sketch for this challenge,,,,
I love this sketch,,,,,,,,,and if you'll recall, I already made ONE card with it for the challenge,,,,,,but I wanted to have a bit more fun with it,,,,,,,

and here's my card!
I had a bit less room to work with on this card,,,,,,,,,but I just love the Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares I used for this little shaped card (and they are very French too!)

Another angle:

As you can tell from past cards, I'm normally a BIG BOW kinda gal,,,,,,,,,but this card is only about 4x4, so I knew I had to go with a smaller bow if I wasn't going to overwhelm it,,,,,,,hence this tiny 1 inch bow made on my peg bow maker.  I love that I can choose my size so easily!

Card Recipe:
Cardstock: scraps , Coordinations Fired Brick, and Recollections Kraft
Stamps: Justrite Bon Voyage cling set (eifel tower) and Justrite Be Strong clear stamp set
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Dies: Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares, Postage Stamps, Squares Large
Ribbon, Pearls, and Bling: Michaels Recollections
Embossing: Provocraft Polka Dots 5x7 folder

I hope you enjoyed the card,,,,,,,,you still have a day to join the fun at Justrite Stampers Friday Challenge so run right over and upload YOUR card using Justrite Stamps!

I'd also like to enter this card into the Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge to use ribbon, lace or trim on your Love/Valentines day card!  This looks like a fun challenge that I'd like to try more often!  They also have a great monthly ribbon club that I'm going to join this week! Check them out!

Thanks for your comments! I'd love to visit YOUR blog!

Good Evening!  It's time for another card, before the weekend is upon us.

It's been a very busy week,,,,,,,we had our cat spayed a week ago, and our dog to the vet for her annual shots, check up and heart worm meds,,,,,,,,and I spent a full day playing with paper with a lovely new friend and her sweet Daughter In Law,,,,,,,

I got to play with dies that I don't have, stamp some new stamps, try some new alcohol markers, and learn a new technique. I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did!

Expect some new cards next week with some of the stamps and die cuts I used while at her house!

Ribbon Support Card

Good Afternoon!

I have a card to show you today that (Honestly) I wish I didn't have to show you.  I have a dear friend who's adult daughter (a teacher/librarian)  is ill with a condition that I can barely understand called
ITP.  Without invading their privacy, let's just say she needs all the support and love her family can give her.

so I wanted to send a card,,,,,,,and I immediately thought of a ribbon card,,,I quickly looked up the ribbon color,,,,,,,,,they have a ribbon color for almost everything today. There was some confusion as to whether it was purple, burgundy, etc,,,,,,,,,so I went with all of it :)

Here's my card,,,,,,,

I just love this ribbon stamp set from Justrite Stamps.  Coloring is quick and easy, and you can make any color you want. And it comes with a variety of ribbons, sentiments and frames.

Here's a close up of the stamp,,,,,,,,

Justrite Stamps and a Sketch!

Hello!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I had SO much to do this weekend,,,,,,and I did none of it LOL.  I just happened to glance at the JustRite Stamps challenge for this week and fall in love with the sketch! Of course, I just had to join in!

I wanted a winter card (because SUPPOSEDLY we are still in winter,,,,even if my thermometer says 84 degrees), but I didn't want Christmassy,,,,,,so here's what I came up with!

First I cut and embossed the bottom of my white 5x7 card base with a spellbinders Edgabilities.  Then I embossed my card stock base with a snowflake embossing folder.  I cut a 2010 snowflake pendant out of my base and then off set another die cut onto the negative and backed the negative with more winter blue paper. I used winter blue and white banners on the left, and Justrite Stamps for the center of my snow flake and the lower right for my sentiment.  Finally, I cut and embossed a strip of white cardstock with the same edgabilities and the same embossing folder and placed it across the top of my card. A bow, some blue dew drops and a hint of sparkle, and she's done!

You can click on the pictures to better see the detail.

Here's a close up of my snowflake and those gorgeous Justrite Stamps.

Card Recipe:

Cardstock: white: Walmart white 110 lb card stock  PP: scraps
Stamps: Justrite "Just the right words" set
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Dies: Spellbinders 2010 Snowflake Pendant, Circles Large, Picot Edge Circles, Classic Petal Edgabilities, Resplendent Rectangles
Embossing folder: Tim Holtz
Glitter: Martha Stewart
Dew Drops: Robin's Nest

I hope you enjoyed the card, and I hope you run over to Justrite and join the fun!  Thanks for looking, and your comments are more appreciated than you know!

Clean and Simple?

Not so much, I'm afraid LOL.  This TOTALLY started out as a clean and simple card.  I bought some new spellbinders edgabilities and a new (my FIRST) spellbinders M-bossabilities and TOTALLY intended that they should shine and that this card should have clean, simple lines,,,,,,,

yeah,,,,,,,NOT! I suck at clean and simple LOL.

Be that as it may, this card has grown on me since I made it yesterday,,,,,,,I am loving the ballerina pink color,,,,,,the embossing (click to enlarge to see the embossing better), and the roses,,,,,and of course,,,,,I always love bling LOL

Card Recipe:

Cardstock: Coordinations Tim Holtz and Ranger Distress Collection, and Prima PP
dies: Spiral Blossoms 1, Memory Box Open leaf Lorelai, Spellbinders Classic Petal Edgabilities
ribbon: Hobby Lobby
Bling: Michaels

I hope you enjoyed the card, and thanks for looking! I really love your comments and appreciate them so much! And I'd love to visit your blog!

Have an amazing weekend! I have house work to do! (Calgon, TAKE ME AWAY!)

2013 Calendar.

Recently, I was in a swap with some great "fake" online friends. The talent was amazing!

My swap buddy was in Canada,,,,,,,,and I knew I wanted to make a desk calendar,,,,,,so I had to go digging for a few Canadian holidays.  For instance,,,,,,,,Canada Day is on July 1st and is the equivilent of our 4th of July,,,,,,,,,,,and Thanksgiving is in October.

So without further ado,,,,,,,Amanda's calendar,,,,,,month by month.

I hope Amanda really enjoys it,,,,,,I even put a little poem on the back.

I hope that you've had
a wonderful year.
Now that you're done
don't toss me on my ear

Take a picture you love
for each of the months
and glue over top
of each calendar fun.

So keep me forever
don't throw me away.
A mini book I'll make
of some sweet, precious days.

The hardest part about this little project was keeping the embellishments down so it wasn't too thick to sit nicely on a desk.

Calendar Recipe:
Papers: variety of scraps
Ink: Versafine
Stamps: Justrite (several sets)
dies: Grand Labels 23 for the months, 2010 snowflake pendant, nested hearts, Memory box open loralai leaf, postage stamps, labels one, squares large, picot edge circles, Cottage Cutz filigree leaf, Marianne Designs poinsettia die, ovals large, lacy squares, Labels 3
vintage images: Crafty Secrets
punches: Martha Stewart butterfly punch (large and small)
Binding: Cinch 1 inch binding rings and bound with the Cinch.

Happy Birthday, Hannah!

Good Afternoon! I hope you and yours have all had a lovely holiday season and a very happy new year!

I am so sorry for being gone so long,,,,,,,,,but I am finally feeling SO much better. I had a bit of catch up to do with my housework, and then there were holiday decorations to take down. But, I actually made several cards this week. I am so excited to share one of them with you today!

My youngest daughter celebrated a remarkable birthday yesterday! She is 21!  She's turned into such a lovely young lady, and I am so proud of her! It amazes me to think that all of my children are now old enough to vote, drink, and kill themselves for our country WITHOUT my permission LOL.  I am proud of all my children,,,,,,,,,all of whom have faced struggles to become the amazing people they are.

So, without further ado, my daughter's 21st birthday card.

Here's a close up of the focal point,,,,,

My focal point is made up of spellbinders layers and a Memory Box flourish,,,,,

The paper is all MME Lost and Found, both the Blush pad and Madison Avenue,,,,,I love how delicate and feminine this is,,just like my daughter!

Card Recipe:

Paper: MME Lost and Found Madison Avenue and Blush, plain white card stock
Stamps: Justrite Happy Everything kit
Ink: Versafine Onyx black
Dies: (from the bottom up) Spellbinders Floral Ovals,  Memory box elegant scrollwork (cut in two), spellbinders lacy ovals, spellbinders ovals large
ribbon, lace, velvet trim: Hobby Lobby
Pearls and flowers: Recollections from Michael's

I hope you enjoyed the card! And thanks to all of you who thought of me, checked on me, emailed me, etc. I am doing so much better,,,,,,,,the right meds in the right amounts have certainly given me my life back!

Happy New Year,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and Happy Birthday to my gorgeous daughter, Hannah!  I love you more than you'll ever know!
